Son of ManJesus used this title to describe His character and mission. He also often used the title associated with His suffering and future sacrificial death. "13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. The title of the "Son of Man " indicates that "Son of Man’s dominion is an everlasting dominion. " By using this title Jesus is declaring that he is the divine Messiah and even when everything appears to be going wrong He will triumph. Because the Son of Man, who humbled himself to be a man is also the eternal Lord. |

And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. |
