Summary of Scripture Words.
Times of Gentiles.

Times of Gentiles.

The title Gentles was a general term for all nations usually Noah’s descendent’s. However the covenant that God made with Abraham meant that his descendent's were separated from the other nations, separated to God, this was dedicated at Sinai and the giving of the Laws of God. Unfortunately the Jew were constantly tempted to seek after the idolatry and immorality of the other nations. This behaviour eventually brought the judgement of God upon the nation. Again unfortunately following the return back to Israel they were tempted by the corruptness of those who were left behind.

By the time Jesus Christ came into the world the name Gentile had become a term of scorn and hatred. And yet the Gentile nations were all part of the plan of God, to turn to the Lord, to worship God and eventually enhance the glory of Israel.
Romans 1:16,17.

"16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith."

Warning of the return of Christ.

2 Thessalonians 2:3,4

"2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."
Luke 21:24
"24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled."

This period commenced when the Jews were taken away to Babylon and under the control of King Nebuchadnezzar, the Jewish nation is now subject to the Gentile nations. It will continue until the Lord comes to the earth at the final time.

This prophecy has already started, since the date of 1948, when the Jewish nation were given back their own country, since then they have become a very powerful nation.

Daniel 2:34-35,

" 32 This image’s head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass,
33 His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay.
34 Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.
35 Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth."

The iron and clay legs are the Roman empire, which now still exists in a new form, but is now called the "Common Market" The stone which grows and fills the earth is the Lord Jesus at His return.

Daniel 2:44

"44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever."

The following seems to take place during the first half of the seven years of the tribulation, hence the forty two months.
Revelation 11:1,2.

"1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months."

Romans 11:25-27.

"25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins."

The return of Jesus Christ

Revelation 19:11-16.

" 11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the wine press of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS."
Revelation 11:21.
"21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh."
