JERUSALEM

It was in the year 1948 that the state of Israel was created, up to then God had kept the people isolated from the Promised Land. Jerusalem is mentioned 870 Times in the Bible, it is God’s city. It is also a central city as it is the centre for the Israel nation.
Ezekiel 5:5.

"5 Thus saith the Lord GOD; This is Jerusalem: I have set it in the midst of the nations and countries that are round about her."

1 Kings 8:44

"44 If thy people go out to battle against their enemy, whithersoever thou shalt send them, and shall pray unto the LORD toward the city which thou hast chosen, and toward the house that I have built for thy name:"

God choose this city to be His city, and as such is used in all the future prophecies. It has many connections to the Bible, Jesus was born, lived and died there in and through Jerusalem. It was the only city which was chosen by God.
Jerusalem is very important to the Jews and God, Jesus wept over Jerusalem, He was born in the area, spoke of God in the area, was charged and committed to being sacrificed on the cross and was buried, then rose again to be the great King of the future world. The future is very important, it will be the city in which the True Believers will spend for ever. It will come down from Heaven at the end of the Millenium, it will be created a great city, 1500x1500x1500 miles in size, Revelation 20,21. In this city with God and Jesus live with their people. It will be a wonderful city, very large, built upon pressures stones and built by God and Jesus.
