Christian thoughts as Poems

Sometimes I WonderSometimes, I wonder, Lord,
Of who I really am
And I often question,
"Where do I fit into Your plan?"
In Him Through Him For HimIn Him, I have my being.
Through Him, I am secure.
For Him, I will try
To live spiritually pure.
The Days of My TimeThe days of my time have,
Somewhat, dimmed my eyes.
But, I need only what my God
Shows me. For, He supplies.
Unto Forgiveness the TruthHow often do we assassinate another,
By word of mouth, hatefully said?
How often do we kill the atoning Spirit
When we pursue that which has been pled?
Even though WearyI’m trying to climb another mountain.
But, I’m so weary, it seems.
I wish I had stayed in the lush valley and
Found respite in the cool water streams.
A Gift of LovePrecious life from God, above,
Sent from Him, with all His love.
The LambI often gaze, in awe, at the picture
Of Jesus, with the lamb upon His shoulder.
My Book Of Answered PrayerIn my heart I keep
A little book of answered prayer;
For friends and family,
And people every where.
Sweet MannaI’ve been feasting on sweet manna,
Fed at the a Master’s hand;
As, through His Holy word, I wander,
Seeing what He planned.
Feed My SheepIn the Book of John
"Peter," said the Lord, one day,
"Do you love me?"
"You know I do, Lord. Need I have to say?"
The AccusersThere she was, degraded and ashamed,
Standing in the middle of them
While the proud religious leaders
Stood around her, to form a rim.
A Prayer Warrior’s PrayerLord, help me pray for others,
In spite of how I might feel.
Let me see Your sweet children
Through Your eyes, so real.
What Would Hinder Thee?Long centuries ago now,
In the desert sand
The Apostle Philip came upon
A royal man in a chariot.
Lest I forgetDear Lord, if
I begin to forget,
Let me not forget Thee
As I grow older.
And, Then, He SpokeAs I knelt to pray,
I began my petition,
"Please, hear me, Father,
As I give voice to this condition.
IntercessionSometimes, I water my bed with tears
As, in self pity, I do plead,
"How long, O God, most Holy,
Must I cry out in my need?
Weeping in the NightOne night, I could hear muffled crying.
It was deep and mournful, and unrelenting.
In this time of sorrowThe day has come ~
All be it far too soon, I know,
To surrender unto God
This one that you loved so.
Thy Rod and thy StaffIn the valley lush and green,
Perhaps at a mountain base,
Little lambs romp and play
As the shepherd watches from His place.
Daniel’s broken heartWhat I wouldn’t give
To take away the sadness in your eyes,
When you search, room to room, for mommy;
Before you hope flickers and dies.
I can only imagineThere are things (oh, so many)
That astound and confound,
The vastness of the universe;
Even the stars have a sound.
The Coming of the Holy SpiritAs Christ ascended into heaven,
He said a Comforter would come in power,
Gather your selves together and wait
Until the appointed hour.
The Judas HeartThe Lord walked with the disciples.
He loved them all, with no exception.
He called them. from their nets. away
And all from their own profession.
There was one that walked with Him.
By name, he as called Judas, Simon’s son;
Spring Time For MeDeep within the ground,
The seeds of spring now slumber.
Trees, bushes, grass and flower
They are; Only God can number.
The Cross Makerone day, a cross was ordered.
It must not be beautiful.
It was to be unpolished and rough.
To his job, he was dutiful.
Sunday Morning in JerusalemThey came for Him,
Under the cover of the night
(In the olive garden, Gethsemane),
Like thieves; not workers of the light ...
I Stand Before HimWho could stand in His presence
And not feel humbled so completely?
Who couldn’t look in those eyes
And say how very much He loved me.
Christian DreamerBy chance, I happened
Upon a room, one day.
In it I found, to my surprise
And much to my dismay ...
SamsonFrom the book of Judges
Came Samson, the Nazarite,
Born to a barren woman of Zorah;
From His birth to be a Danite.
