Christian thoughts as Poems
by
George Miller

All HeartThey call me a Christian,
Because I profess it.
So because I say it,
It must be true?
All Things BeautifulHe delights in the opening of my day.
I share in his honest love for his children.
Yes!, he walks with me, smiles down on me,
uplifts and encourages my lovely heart.
TruthSometimes vague, opaque.
At other times startlingly obvious.
We seek it within ourselves, others,
When found we tend to deny it.
The WalkHe invited me to go on a walk one day.
I accepted, because I wanted to know Him better.
It was a narrow street filled with sorrows.
TeachersGod shows us the way of the new Christian,
we’ve been there, in those hard places of extremes.
ObsoleteGod describes vaguely
What heaven will be like.
His Spirit envisions that paradise to be.
Loves NeedsFamily are the hardest to witness to.
For they have known us before we changed,
In living for our God.
They only remember the old us, the person
Who lived for self and sin.
Love and ObeyIt is a fact that "to love and obey",
Is included within marriage vows.
This concept even used in the natural world
Is such a heavy spiritual exercise,
That our God finishes His work in us.
