Christian thoughts as Poems
by
Benjamin Graber

The BurialYou asked me once again
To drop the life I had embraced,
And then to bury it,
Awe struckAs we are cast before our Maker
Our senses now are made acute;
Consuming FireWe’ve felt the heat which chases us,
And so, with fear, we humbly came.
Knowing Faith’s VivaciousnessEnjoying your security, standing distant from the brink, you stay where it is safest
FateBut if I walk in faith
The way begins to show
LavenderThe heart is longing to be filled.
Cascading Towards InfinityCascading towards infinity,
Our lives sweep past by days and nights
Choice of CrownsThe crown of mine that I would bear,
For one was jeweled and made of gold,
The other, made of twisted thorns
Crystal ClearFor I was blind to the debris
That hung around me like a fog
EmpurplePurple is the color of kings
And color of nobility
ForgivenessForgiveness is the fragrance the violet leaves on the heel that crushed it.
In The New JerusalemLooking with hope to what will be
In the New Jerusalem
InsaneThrough human eyes His life appears to be insanity,
Iron FistDare you stand in place of God?
Light Conquers DarknessIf you’re in a darkened room,
And a small candle is lit,
The darkness retreats away
From light the candle emits
Living StonesOnce lost within the depths of earth
And strangled in your self-made night,
Open DoorI want you to know I’m here for you,
Round and Squarelet God be in control;
Thank You For The Memoriesthank you for the times we had,
Then look forward to the future
Thank You For Walking With MeI could not have made it
Without you always being near.
The Greatest Of TheseFor God is near.
Grasping tight to a hand
You cannot see,
The Heart Of It AllAll of nature is a gift
Waiting to be unraveled,
When You Came Into My LifeWhen you came into my life:
It was like a new star
New WordsYou’re like the sun that shines on me,
Who gives me life and light;
Special In The Eyes Of GodYou’re special in our Father’s eyes -
