Thoughts on Daniel’'s Prophecy

The Jews always used the number seven and God had told them that every seventh year they were to rest and worship Him, trusting God take care of them, the sabbatical years, they had never done this. So GOD has to punish them, they did not show their faith in Him.
The Jews used a lunar calendar of 360 days per year. This means that the punishment will consist of 69 sabbatical years, time, the number of days in the year. 69x360, this was to start from the restoration of the Temple and city of Jerusalem, this occurred on the 1st of Nison.

Daniel's Prophecy,

Daniel 9:25,26. This prophecy of 70 weeks started when they sent the decree to rebuild the city of DANIEL, Jerusalem and the Temple. The information came via the angel Gabriel. The 69x7=483 years following the decree must then happen. The MESSIANIC PRINCE, Jesus the MESSIAH, would appear exactly 483 years later.
On that day, 483 years later, Jesus entered the city of Jerusalem on an ass’s colt, John 12:12-17, and so presented himself as the MESSIAH for the JEWISH nation and ultimately for the world.
The plans of God covered 490 years, of these already 483 have passed at the above revelation, thus left a seven further years to take place.
DANIEL'S prophecy tells us of a period of 69 weeks that begin on a particular day and also end on a specific day. However, there will be a gap in the time before the seventieth week.
We must note that the name "weeks " is actually referring to the time of years, this means a total of 483 years will pass. (69x7)
Following the 69 "weeks" before the 70th "week," there is a large gap. We find in DANIEL 9:24 that certain specific actions must take place during the seventy "week" which have not yet taken place.
1 The finish of transgression.
2 The end of sin.
3 The atonement for sin and wickedness.
4 To bring in everlasting righteousness.
5 To seal up the vision and prophecy.
6 To anoint the Most Holy Place.

verse 27 A Roman person will appear. Note verse 27, the sacrifice has now started, the temple has been completed.
As it has not happened yet, then the seventy "week" has still to occur. When it does, God will commence the seven year period of the tribulation.
This week will commence with the RAPTURE, a special time that God has set to collect His people from the earth, then He will start week 70.
The tribulation will setup a man, the Antichrist, to become world leader, he, "the prince, the ruler to come," will confirm a covenant with Israel, but after 3 1/2 years will break that covenant, putting an end to any sacrifices and offerings by Israel. He will set up an abomination in the temple that causes desolation, this will remain until the end.

Verse 25. "FROM - UNTIL " 69 weeks AFTER, 69 weeks and the destraction of the Tabernacle in 70 AD.
Note that the people who sung at the presentation of MESSIAH were singing Psalm 118, to be sung only to the MESSIAH.
