(4) The early life of Jesus. The New Testament records give very little information of the early life of Jesus on earth apart from the events recorded in Luke.
We are told that the "Child grew, and waxed strong, filled with wisdom, becoming full of wisdom and the grace of God was upon him." Then follows the story of the visit to the temple.
The behaviour of the Child Jesus is evidence of the guidance of the Spirit. |

(5) Baptism of Jesus.
In the Gospels the writers placed much emphasis on the actions of the Holy Spirit at the Baptism of Jesus.
After Jesus is anointed with the Holy Spirit at His baptism, He is now able to start His ministry as the Messiah.
The Power of the Holy Spirit gives His human side the power for the coming temptations. The Power to carry out the ministry and healing.
The power to suffer the cross and death for the sin of mankind.
The power of His resurrection and ascension.
The coming of the Holy Spirit upon Jesus allows Him to give the Holy Spirit to His disciples at Pentecost. |

The Holy Spirit led Jesus into the wilderness for the temptation. |
