The True Believers Privileges.

Trust in the Lord.

Proverbs 3:5-10
"5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
9 Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase:
10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine."

We are told in the verses found in Proverbs to "trust in the Lord," this means that you are willing to do what ever the will of God is for you. There are many who do not fully trust what God has planned for them, they would like to know what is in the future then decide if that is what they want in their personal future. "God tell me the future and I will decide!"

How therefore can I know the will of God? We just test each door as it appears to open, if it is the will of God then the action and way will become obvious, if it is not His Will, then He will somehow prevent you proceeding, trust and faith in Him.
The Father God is watching over us all, Jesus Christ is with us, the Holy Spirit lives in us.
Luke 12:6-7.

"6 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?
7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows."

Isaiah 58:11.

"11 And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not."

Psalms 32:8-11

"8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
9 Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.
10 Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.
11 Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart."

Full Dependence

Proverbs 3:5,6.

"5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."

We are told to have a complete trust in God, with all thine heart; This is something which many of us do not achieve, we have salvation but are still trying to run our own life, "this is my way," only turning to God when you need His help and guidance. No this is not the way, in all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. When we love Him, trust Him and obey Him then we will be blessed.

No One is perfect, 1 John 4:18.

"18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 19 We love him, because he first loved us."

1 John 4:7-9.

"7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into this world, that we might live through him.
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins."

The love of God is so great that He was willing to send His Son to take our place and punishment.
Romans 8:31-34.

"31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.
34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us."

We should have no fear of God and seeking His will for our life, we should have full dependence upon Him through all of our life.
John 4:34-36.

"34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together."

Psalm 37:3-5

"3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass."

Direction.

It is God’s will that all people are to be saved, each are offered the gift of salvation some how during their life, but then it is up to each individual person to choose what to do with the gift of salvation given through Jesus, they are free to accept or to reject the gift, and then take the consequences of their decision.
2 Peter 3:9.

"9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

He shall direct thy paths. How does God do this? - Through His Word.
Psalms 119:105.

"105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."

We cannot succeed by our own power, we must be filled with the Spirit of God.
Ephesians 5:15-18.

"15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;"

A true Believer has been set aside for God, sanctified.
1 Thessalonians 4:3,4.

"3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:
4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;"

Prayer.

Choosing.

People. Acts 1:22-26.

"22 Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.
23 And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.
2 4 And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, show whether of these two thou hast chosen,
25 That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.
26 And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles."

Seek His Guidance.

What to do or where to go.Acts 8:29-31.

"29 Then the Spirit said unto Philip,"Go near, and join thyself to this chariot."
30 And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, "Understandest thou what thou readest?"
31 And he said, "How can I, except some man should guide me?" And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him."

Proverbs 3:6.

"6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths"

Acts 13:2,3.

"2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work where unto I have called them.
3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away."

Seek His Guidance. Nehemiah 7:5.

"5 And my God put into mine heart to gather together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be reckoned by genealogy."

Wisdom.

Ask. James 1:5,6

"5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed."

It would be wonderful if we could have a mind which is fully in tune with the mind and will of God, to know all things is not possible, however, God does and knows what the future holds and can make the path we are walking as easy and straight as we need it. We need His power so that we are able to fulfill His Will for us, note that God will "carry " us if we are not able to reach the level required, He will carry us where necessary to achieve His plans.
Romans 12:1,2

"1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

Proverbs 3:7-10.

"7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
9 Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase:
10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine. "
