The True Believers Privileges.

Matthew 7:7,8.

"7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened."
Hebrews 10:19-23.
"19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
21 And having an high priest over the house of God;
22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) "

How important is our location?

Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus. We are looking at the last thoughts of the writer of Hebrews, they are concerned by the one word, Faith. We need to understand the meaning of this word and action, it is founded upon the eternal guarantee that Jesus Christ has entered into the sanctuary and the full presence of God, enabling the True Believer to enter into the presence of God freely, a wonderful privilege for a believer. Because of this privilege all believers should daily draw near to God through the blood of Jesus who is the eternal high priest.
We are allowed to enter the sanctuary because of what the Lord Jesus has done for each of us. We have free access through the sacrifice and blood of Jesus, a new and living way.

The Jewish High Priest was only permitted to enter into the Holy of Holies after carrying out special preparation demanded by God, then he was allowed to pass through the veil into the Holy of Holies and there to make the sin offering for the Jewish people. God removed the veil when it was torn from the top to the bottom following the death of Jesus Christ on the cross, opening free access for all True Believers into the Holy of Holies through this death of the Son of God, Jesus.
Matthew 27:50,51

"50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; "

Christians can now approach and worship God from anywhere in the world through the Holy Spirit, we can come in boldness through the blood of Jesus.

Hebrews 10:22.

"22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water."

Hebrews 9:22

"22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission."

In Hebrews 10 verse 20 we are told that this is by a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; The blood of Jesus covers all sin, God can be accessed through Jesus, so He has become the "veil" between God and mankind. This points us to the words of Jesus at the Feast of the Passover and the Last Supper.
Matthew 26:26.

"26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
28 For this is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. Take my body which is broken for you."

Jesus the Advocate.

Jesus has become our High Priest, who guides us but now He has also become our Advocate, who defends us from the accusations of Satan.
Hebrews 10:21.

" 21 And having an high priest over the house of God; "

Hebrews 7:22-27.

"22 By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.
23 And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:
24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself."

1 John 2:1,2.

"1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world."

The House of God is not a building, it is the people who are True Believers, a church of people, people in which the Holy Spirit indwells each person. 1 Corinthians 3:16,17.

"16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are."

2 Corinthians 6:16-18.

"16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty."

"Let us."

As a result, following the scripture we are now given a special, personal privilege set of instructions,
"Let us...." 1) "Let us drawer near to God," a personal invitation to every Believer. How can we approach the Holy of Holies where God is? In Faith, and with a true heart. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
1 John 1:9.
Hebrews 10:22.

2) "22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water."

We are able to draw near to God because our sins have been covered by the blood of Jesus, in faith we can claim that gift, "having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water," by the action of the Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 5:8-10.

" 8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. "

"Let us hold fast."

Hebrews 10:23
3) "23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) "

We are to continue in our belief and confession of faith, what ever the future holds remember that God holds the future, trust in His promises
John 6:37

"All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out."

1 John 1:9

" 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. "

Romans 10:9,10

"9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. "

Hebrews 6:17-19.

"17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;"

Hebrews 11:6

"6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. "
