The True Believers Privileges. |
"7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: |
Hebrews 10:19-23."19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, |
How important is our location?Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus.
We are looking at the last thoughts of the writer of Hebrews, they are concerned by the one word, Faith. We need to understand the meaning of this word and action, it is founded upon the eternal guarantee that Jesus Christ has entered into the sanctuary and the full presence of God, enabling the True Believer to enter into the presence of God freely, a wonderful privilege for a believer. Because of this privilege all believers should daily draw near to God through the blood of Jesus who is the eternal high priest. The Jewish High Priest was only permitted to enter into the Holy of Holies after carrying out special preparation demanded by God, then he was allowed to pass through the veil into the Holy of Holies and there to make the sin offering for the Jewish people. God removed the veil when it was torn from the top to the bottom following the death of Jesus Christ on the cross, opening free access for all True Believers into the Holy of Holies through this death of the Son of God, Jesus. "50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. Christians can now approach and worship God from anywhere in the world through the Holy Spirit, we can come in boldness through the blood of Jesus. "22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water." "22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission." In Hebrews 10 verse 20 we are told that this is by a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; The blood of Jesus covers all sin, God can be accessed through Jesus, so He has become the "veil" between God and mankind. This points us to the words of Jesus at the Feast of the Passover and the Last Supper. "26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. |
Jesus the Advocate.Jesus has become our High Priest, who guides us but now He has also become our Advocate, who defends us from the accusations of Satan. " 21 And having an high priest over the house of God; " "22 By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament. "1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: The House of God is not a building, it is the people who are True Believers, a church of people, people in which the Holy Spirit indwells each person. 1 Corinthians 3:16,17. "16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? "16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. "Let us."As a result, following the scripture we are now given a special, personal privilege set of instructions, 2) "22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water." We are able to draw near to God because our sins have been covered by the blood of Jesus, in faith we can claim that gift, "having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water," by the action of the Holy Spirit. " 8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: "Let us hold fast."Hebrews 10:233) "23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) " We are to continue in our belief and confession of faith, what ever the future holds remember that God holds the future, trust in His promises "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." " 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. " "9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. |
"17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: "6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
